Associate Director MRL and Director Action Centre Leadership
Steve has extensive experience as a leadership and management consultant and trainer. He is co-founder of Adair International which, with Prof. John Adair as president, is the global authority and custodian of the Action Centred Leadership (ACL) framework. Steve has worked on projects internationally for organisations including the United Nations, the Royal Air Force, and the National Health Service. Others include the British Red Cross, Save the Children and a number of UK Government departments.
Steve specialises in helping organisations embed leadership strategies into culture, and the design of effective leadership development programmes in many commercial settings.
Before his work with John Adair, Steve ran the Helix Consultancy (management and leadership training) with whom he still plays an active role. He originally trained as a manager in the hospitality sector, firstly as a trainee manager with a large hotel operator, and later at operational and senior management levels in London clubs and independent hotels.
Steve holds qualifications in hospitality management, employment law, human resources management and performance coaching. He is a personal associate of Prof John Adair, is an Accredited ACL Coach and was the first of only 10 people to be an Accredited ACL Trainer at Strategic Level. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. He has been working with MRL Public Sector Consultants (Ltd) since 2011 as an assonate Director, and will be working closely with the training team responsible for senior training on the TENS Programme.
