The education census establishes a clear understanding of the current educational landscape in Niger State, gathering data on enrolment, infrastructure, teacher qualifications and learning materials to identify improvement areas.

Training of LGA managers
The TENS II Programme, delivered with MRL® Public Sector Consultants Ltd, trained Local Government Area managers to lead the census across all 25 LGAs.
Geo-mapping exercise
A statewide geo-mapping exercise began on 4 July 2024, accurately mapping educational facilities, resources and infrastructure across Niger State.
Enumerator training
Enumerator training began on 15 July 2024, covering all ECDE schools, government-owned and private primary and secondary schools, technical colleges and state tertiary institutions.
